(Limited edition prints here)
Thank you for your interest in purchasing signed original Denis Jockmans Fine Art Photography Prints.
Sale of photos of ethnic groups (they call themselves the Natives, or in Spanish Los Originarios) taken during my travels through Mexico. At the moment five groups are presented: the Purépecha (or Tarascos), the Maya Yucateca, the Maya Tsotsil, the Nahua of the State of Guerrero and the Rarámuri (or Tarahumara).
All prints are available in different sizes and presentations and are unlimited editions. There are also printed items for sale and digital files. If you desire signed and limited edition art prints, please click here.
It is a great experience to purchase and to own high resolution and high-quality physical prints, made to be felt with your fingers and to be hanged on your wall for generations to be seen. You can admire the fine details of the people I have photographed during my travels in which I put great effort.
I am always looking for excellence and I am proud of my work. Therefor I took time to investigate what would be the best way to present my work. I hope you enjoy your quality purchase.
These photos were also compiled in my pilot book called "The Natives" (Los Originarios) which is for sale here (only in Spanish for the moment). You can see more pictures of the Natives here. Follow my project to photograph all 68 native people of Mexico here.

Together we are an ocean."

The Spaniards called them Tarascos but they refer themselves as P'urépechas, which in their language means "people". They are located in the Purépecha-Uruapan plateau of the Transversal Volcanic System in the center-north of the State of Michoacán.
